Stamford Hospital is a Level II trauma center located in downtown Stamford, Conn. Stamford Hospital is a 305-bed, not-for-profit hospital serving Fairfield and Westchester counties. In 2014, Stamford Hospital logged nearly 15,000 patient discharges, over 76,000 emergency services, 11,470 surgeries and 2288 births, with over 319,000 total patients served over the entire Stamford Health system.

Stamford is one of 17 acute care hospitals nationwide to earn a Planetree designation, recognizing their focus on holistic, patient-centered care. The Heart & Vascular and Orthopedic & Spine institutes are nationally recognized for quality of services. The hospital is a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
