Northwest Hospital, a community hospital located in Randallstown, Md., serves the health care needs of the northwest Baltimore area including Baltimore County, western Baltimore City, Carroll and Howard counties. It was established in 1962 as Liberty Court Rehabilitation Center, and in 1963 became Baltimore County General Hospital. In June of 1993, it changed its name to Northwest Hospital.

Northwest Hospital facilities are designed around the Friesen concept, replacing centralized nursing stations with nursing alcoves outside each patient room so nurses can spend more time with their patients. All patient rooms are private.
