Mercy Hospital is a nonprofit community hospital in Portland, Maine. It was founded in 1918 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland and the Sisters of Mercy.
In addition to the main hospital, which includes a 24-hour emergency department, and nearby satellite campuses, Mercy Health System of Maine operates primary care practices in Falmouth, Gorham, Standish, Westbrook, West Falmouth, Windham, and Yarmouth.
Mercy is a vibrant health system that includes five campuses and a total of 230 inpatient beds. Mercy is continually adding primary care and specialty physician practice sites, and offers several community-based programs.
